Commercial boilers do occasionally fail and when they do, you could be left without heating and/or hot water, while you are waiting for a part, a replacement or a repair.
It’s why we have designed and built our own range of super flexible temporary boilers for heating and hot water that we hold in our own stores and can install in just a few hours, to have you up and running almost immediately.
The boilers range in capacity from 70-400 kW for the heating boilers and up to 150kW for hot water. In our experience, this gives us coverage for over 90% of the commercial requirements we see on a day to day basis.
At Kimpton, we have a large team of fully qualified and highly experienced heating and air conditioning engineers who live locally. On average, they solve around 92% of all issues on their first visit. They do this by being both experienced and, using spares they hold or have been pre-ordered as part of an ongoing service and maintenance agreement.
Over recent years wholesalers have greatly reduced the level of stock they hold for service and repair spares for every boiler type, size and brand. So, with the clients we have under contract, we ensure the right spares are held on site for the most likely causes of failure.
The huge advantage we have over many of our peers, is that we have access to our own temporary boilers 24/7 365 days a year.
Boilers obviously rarely fail at convenient times. If anything, they always seem to fail on a Friday at 17.00, just before a bank holiday, when people’s minds have already wandered off. So, the fact we hold a whole range of temporary boilers in stock, ready to be used when they are needed, means we can always access them when you need them most.
Using temporary boilers isn’t always about emergencies however. We also use them in day to day projects where continuity of heating and hot water in a commercial setting is essential.
As a business, we replace a lot of boilers and upgrade a lot of plant rooms. Many of these now use external packaged plant rooms as their boiler plant may be stuck within an old or inaccessible boiler room that has the potential for asbestos issues.
When the chosen solution is to refurbish or upgrade the existing boiler room, a temporary boiler allows you the time to do the job right and protect it for the future. The process follows a simple plan, which works as follows:
